Building Peaceful Communities Symposium

Four of the city’s top change leaders engaged in a roundtable discussion on how we work together to build collaborations that bring peace to our city. Opening remarks and anniversary reflection were offered by Monsignor Boland.  

Panelists included Sheriff Tom Dart, Arn Duncan, Dr. David Ansell, and Dr. Mira Vidal de Haymes. The panel was moderated by Loyola University’s Professor of Peace Studies and Sociology, Dr. Kathleen Maas Weigert.

A Mass of Thanksgiving & Reception

Mass of Thanksgiving in honor of the 100th Anniversary of Catholic Charities was held May 7. Main Celebrant – Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago. Concelebrated by Bishop Raymond Goedert, Bishop Joseph N. Perry, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, Monsignor Michael M. Boland, President of Catholic Charities and priests of the Archdiocese.
